PS-1: Generously donated by Matthew Pintchik, PS-1 is a Ford E-350 type 3 ambulance. PS-1's service was also made possible thanks to financial support from the the South Brooklyn Lions Club.
PS-2: With a sleek blue racing stripe across her side, PS-2 is the latest addition to the PSVAC family of vehicles. PS-2 is the most advanced vehicle we've had so far. PS-2 is a heavy-duty ambulance with four-wheel drive capabilities that allow it to operate in any weather condition and in the off-road terrain of Prospect Park. PSVAC is the only EMS agency in New York City with an ambulance with four-wheel drive capability.
5M and 8Z: Our two supervisor vehicles, 5M ("Five Mary") and 8Z ("Eight Zebra"), are primarily used to assist our ambulance crews in the field. 5M and 8Z are both certified Emergency Ambulance Service Vehicles and hold a full array of lifesaving equipment. They can also be used to quickly respond to incidents and begin treatment before the arrival of a transporting Ambulance. These vehicles are staffed with at least one Duty Officer, and may also have an operator or observer on board.
